About

Elle Blair is an author of fiction for adults and children. She grew up in Oxford and studied Film and Television at the University of Warwick.

She has taught English in North East schools for more than twenty years and now works in alternative provision with young people who have been excluded from mainstream education.

Elle’s DI Rachel Harlow series, published by HQ, is set in Newcastle upon Tyne. Robyn Hoodie, published by Andersen Press, is her debut novel for children.

Elle completed an MA in Crime Fiction at the University of East Anglia, graduating with Distinction in 2025. She lives with her family by the sea in Whitley Bay.
